Pyramid8 are currently supporting a well-established Plant & Fleet company to recruit a Plant Fitter to be based at their depot in Castleford.
As a Plant Fitter you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs to fleet.
- Fault diagnose and rectify all types of mechanical faults found.
- Ensuring Health & Safety and good working practices within the workshop are followed.
- Completion of work is via a PDA device to ensure electronic work records.
- Carrying out minor and major repairs as directed.
- Identification and capture of damaged fleet at the depot.
- Day-to-day communication across plant office, yard and workshop functions.
- Ensure that all M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions 'Safely, Healthy, Environmental & Quality' (SHEQ) policies and procedures are adhered to, adopting a safe method of working at all times.
To apply for this role you must:
- Be a fully qualified plant technician to NVQ2 or equivalent through a recognised training scheme.
- Have experience of working on fleet.
- Be competent in the use of company IT and diagnostic tooling.
- Hold a driving licence (essential).
- Forklift licence - Training will be given.
- General plant electrics knowledge desirable.
You will receive a salary of between £28,000 to £35,500. You will receive 25 days + bank holidays, contributory pension scheme, life assurance and access to a wide range of discounts and special offers through their online rewards platform. You can also take part in their cycle to work scheme. Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, 40-hour week. There are progression opportunities within the business.
