An established and fast-growing civil engineering contractor is seeking a commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team and play a pivotal role in delivering and financially managing a variety of infrastructure and civil projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded individual looking to step into a senior role with autonomy, leadership potential, and long-term career development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide full commercial support to project teams
- Deliver accurate cost/value reporting, cash flow forecasting, and monthly CVRs
- Manage subcontract procurement, negotiation, and financial accounting
- Support and mentor junior QS staff
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and commercial procedures
- Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve variations, claims, and payments
Requirements:
Essential
- HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) or Solid Experience
- Previous experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of NEC or ICE forms of contract
- Excellent commercial acumen and cost management skills
- Experience chairing meetings, subcontract management, and reporting
- Strong team leadership and mentoring abilities
Desirable
- Membership of RICS or other relevant professional body (or working towards)
