Passive Fire Protection Estimator Location: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire (Head Office) Job Type: Permanent, Office-based About Us: MPL Site Services are working with a leading provider of specialist passive fire protection solutions. With a reputation for excellence, we work across various sectors, ensuring buildings meet the highest safety standards. We are now looking for a Passive Fire Protection Estimator to join our team and help drive our continued success. The Role: As a Passive Fire Protection Estimator, you will be responsible for managing tender enquiries related to: * Fire stopping * Intumescent coatings * Structural encasements * Cavity barriers * Timber fire doors You will work closely with clients, contractors, and our internal team to prepare accurate and competitive tenders. This role is office-based at our Mansfield Head Office and requires a keen eye for detail, strong industry knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities: * Reviewing tender documents and assessing project requirements * Preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations * Liaising with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather relevant information * Producing technical proposals in line with fire protection regulations * Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices * Supporting the business development team in securing new contracts * Take full control of estimating enquiries and database * Work proactively and efficiently and carry out estimating duties and issue formal tender submissions in line with tender return deadlines * Must be self-motivated and take full responsibility of your desk What We’re Looking For: * Experience in passive fire protection estimation * Knowledge of fire stopping, intumescent coatings, structural encasements, cavity barriers, and fire doors * Strong numerical and analytical skills * Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) * Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively * Strong communication and negotiation skills What We Offer: * Performance related Christmas Bonus * Career development and training opportunities * Supportive team environment * Stability within a growing, reputable company * 33 days annual leave If you are a detail-oriented professional with a passion for fire safety and estimation, we’d love to hear from you
