Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Counter Balance Forklift/Production Operator to join our dynamic clients team in a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload materials, operating various production machines and ensuring the efficient movement of goods within the facility. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. The working week is Monday to Thursday 3.30pm to 1am The role will become Permanent for the idea candiate. Duties * Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload materials from lorries and storage areas. * Run and manage various machines within the factory. * Perform regular inspections on forklifts and other equipment to ensure optimal performance. * Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of shipments against documentation. * Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse. * Conduct heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety guidelines to prevent injuries. * Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organised work environment. Requirements * Current External, in date Counter Balance Licence * Previous experience in a Production setting is preferred. * Proficiency in using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is advantageous. * Strong mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and Machines * Basic maths skills for inventory management and stock control. * Experience in materials handling, including loading and unloading goods safely. * Valid forklift certification is required; candidates must be able to demonstrate safe operating practices. * Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed throughout the shift.
