We are seeking a motivated Junior Electrical Design Engineer eager to advance their career. Our client, a boutique Consultancy located in Bristol, is looking for the right individual to join their team.

Job Description:

This independent M&E building services consultancy is looking for a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. This presents an exciting opportunity for a talented Junior Engineer to become part of a growing company that specializes in providing innovative and sustainable electrical design solutions across various sectors, including residential, commercial, healthcare, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and emergency lighting.
  2. Support senior engineers in producing detailed electrical designs, calculations, and technical specifications.
  3. Work collaboratively with project teams, including architects, structural engineers, and contractors, to ensure electrical systems are integrated smoothly into building designs.
  4. Use relevant software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design tools (e.g., Amtech, Dialux) to produce accurate drawings and designs.
  5. Assist in preparing design reports, technical documents, and project proposals.
  6. Participate in site visits and inspections to ensure that installations comply with design specifications and industry standards.
  7. Stay updated on the latest electrical design trends, building regulations, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Basic knowledge of electrical design principles and building services.
  3. Familiarity with industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant electrical design tools (Amtech, Dialux).
