About the role:
We are now recruiting for an Engineer to look after our machines in Birmingham. This role will appeal to a self-motivated individual who is proactive and works well under pressure. You will be customer focused and able to work towards agreed SLAs to enable you to offer the highest level of customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to machine faults/failures within agreed SLA
- Focus and accountability on quality, standards and continual improvement
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure delivery of excellent customer service
- Train staff on DIY sites showing them the operational features of the equipment/machines once installed
- Communicate with the Service Desk on ensuring the completion of calls and update the in-house system working towards a first-time fault resolution
- Support with site surveys and machine installations when applicable
- Be smart and presentable at all times with a flexible approach to work
- Provide cover to other areas as required by service desk to cover for holiday/sickness
Person Specification & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years technical and mechanical engineering experience essential, vending Industry experience preferred
- Basic electrical understanding and experience essential, advanced electrical engineering desirable
- Certifications and/or qualifications preferred in the following areas: Engineering/Mechanical/Electrical/Health & Safety/Quality/IT including electrical safety and PAT testing
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service
- Excellent IT skills essential
- Digital media experience an advantage
- A problem solver with a can-do approach
- A good team player who strives to deliver company goal and objectives
- Self-motivated, able to respond and adapt promptly and easily to change, with a positive attitude and approach
- Full UK driving licence
- Industry manufacture experience an advantage but full training will be provided.
This role will be based over 5 days, Monday to Friday between 8:30 and 17:00 (40 working hours). Flexibility may also be required to work occasional overtime, for example, weekends and at different national sites to meet the operational needs of the business.
