As such, our Colleague Communications lead will play a vital role in the delivery of engaging communication experiences for our internal colleagues. If you’re passionate about providing top-notch communications to a great team, this role might be the perfect fit for you.
What you’ll be doing
- Take the lead on communications projects across our technology teams – in addition to working with colleagues in our Internal Communications team – to support the development and delivery of the integration communications plan.
- Delivery of our communications strategy for our P&C CIO and support our integration communications plan.
- Advise on all matters relating to P&C CIO communications, supporting our CIO Leadership Team and P&C Chief Information Officer in the design and tone of colleague communications that are timely, accurate and engaging.
- Identify compelling stories and demonstrate creative storytelling to bring them to life across a range of digital channels for a Products & Channels audience.
- Put our Purpose and values first to ensure we deliver the best possible outcome for our colleagues.
- Create high quality, engaging content in a variety of formats (written, digital etc), that can be used for both internal and external purposes, aligned to brand guidelines and meeting appropriate approval/disclosure requirements.
We need you to have
- Proven experience in internal communications or a related discipline with an ability to influence as appropriate
- Great storytelling skills, with experience in adapting a strategic narrative into concise, compelling content, with a particular flair and expertise for written communications
- Ability to design and produce accurate, strategic communications within tight timescales and to the highest quality
- Experience of managing internal events working with third parties and P&C leadership team to deliver high-quality, impactful outputs
- Ability to produce high-quality supporting visuals for online content to agreed standards and supporting production of visual and digital content e.g. film, infographics, vlogs, podcasts and photography
- Experience in managing digital channels, e.g. intranets, email, film, social platforms, live broadcasting and supporting the development of new channels
- Ability to work to agreed content and channel strategies, as well as any supporting standards
- Experience of capturing and understanding analytics for content and channel engagement
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
- Previous experience working in technology teams, financial services or a PLC environment
- Experience working with agencies and third parties
- Experience in leading incident management communications and supporting high-profile activity with potential reputational impacts
- Knowledge of AI tools to benefit internal communications
