Job Description Senior Support Worker (Children’s Services)
Location: Nuneaton
Salary: £14.54 per hour / £30,000 per year + £65 per sleep-in shift (Additional £3,000 per year)
Holiday: 22 days + 8 days bank holiday
Additional Benefits: Free parking on and off-site, £5 per hour on bank holidays
Fee: 10%
About the Role
We are looking for Senior Support Workers to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide direct care and support to children, helping them to develop essential life skills in a safe and supportive environment. You will work closely with the team to implement care plans and provide individual support, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to children with Emotional Behavioural Disorder and mild autism
- Implement individual care plans and monitor progress
- Lead shifts and supervise junior staff, ensuring that tasks are carried out to the highest standards
- Promote the emotional, social, and educational development of the children
- Work closely with the management team to ensure the safe running of the service
- Participate in regular training and development to enhance your skills
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and other staff members
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a children s care or support role
- Knowledge and experience in supporting children with Emotional Behavioural Disorders and autism
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead by example
- Compassionate and patient nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care
