Our client are currently seeking a full-time Finance Manager to work within their busy accounts team based in Watford.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly Accounts Creation: Prepare monthly accounts for the allocated region, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and KPIs.
- Ledger Management: Oversee sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers, and perform accounts reconciliation.
- Month-End Processing: Handle month-end journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are completed and address any issues.
- Discrepancy Analysis: Analyze and report discrepancies, ensuring 100% accuracy for board presentations.
- Budgeting: Prepare and reforecast budgets.
- Compliance: Ensure financial compliance with HMRC and other regulatory bodies.
- Audit Preparation: Assist in preparing for annual external audits and liaise with auditors.
- Cost Saving Initiatives: Contribute to cost-saving and shared service initiatives.
- Asset and Liability Monitoring: Monitor key assets and liabilities to drive balance sheet and business improvements.
- Reporting: Provide monthly reports to the Head of Finance and MD, suggesting improvements on budget deviations.
- Team Coordination: Work closely with and coordinate the accounts teams for accurate and coherent performance reporting.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage daily cash flow and inter-account transfers.
- Ad-Hoc Reporting: Handle ad-hoc reporting both internally and externally.
