KEMP Hospice has been providing valuable care and support to people across the Wyre Forest, affected by a life-limiting illness, for 55 years.
They are an incredible Hospice who offer end-of-life care, counselling and emotional support free of charge to adults facing a life-limiting illness, their families, and carers for as long they need it. As well as providing care as a day hospice KEMP also offer a bereavement counselling service.
Eden Brown Charites are delighted to be partnering with KEMP to find them their next Head of Fundraising and Communications at an exciting and pivotal time for the Charity. KEMP’S vision is “Compassionate Care and Support with Dignity” and this role really is a chance to be part of something special.
The Role
As Head of Fundraising and Communications you will be responsible for building the brand of KEMP Hospice across the Wyre Forest and you will be responsible for setting and delivering an ambitious fundraising strategy and achieving income targets in line with objectives. You will manage a lovely fundraising and communications team. You will also be instrumental in maximising income from individual giving, legacy giving, corporate fundraising, community fundraising, fundraising events and trusts & foundations, and lottery.
You will ensure that there is a good stewardship plan in place for donors as well as work closely with the Communications team to develop an integrated communications strategy to raise the charity’s profile and support fundraising efforts. You will also oversee the creation of high-quality content to be used across various platforms, including the website, social media, newsletters, press releases, and annual reports.
About You
You will have had proven experience in a fundraising role as well as experience in managing a team. You will also have be able to demonstrate experience in communications and/or understand a wide range of communication techniques. You will also be experienced in implementing and devising a stratergy across multiple income streams.
The role is based in the Hospice in Kidderminster with some home working available. Please note that applications are looked at on a rolling basis with interviews scheduled on a rolling basis.
