Description
As a Financial Controller, you will be essential in ensuring the precision and promptness of our client’s financial reporting, all while adhering to regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with senior management to provide crucial financial insights and strategic recommendations, and work alongside various departments to safeguard the financial health and compliance of the bank.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the daily financial activities, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and cash flow management.
- Lead the month-end closing process and guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of the bank’s financial statements and regulatory submissions (e.g., Pillar III, ICAAP).
- Offer financial analysis to senior management and the Board of Directors, providing insights into performance and suggesting improvements.
- Prepare financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and shareholders.
- Collaborate with departments like Risk Management, Banking Operations, and Custody to offer financial expertise and guidance.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring alignment with the bank’s strategic objectives.
- Identify financial risks and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, such as auditors, regulators, bankers, and shareholders.
What You’ll Bring | Who You Are
- A qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- At least 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong foundation in financial reporting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities in a high-paced environment.
- Familiarity with banking operations, products, and regulations is preferred.
- Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) is an advantage.
