The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Our established and highly successful client are working with us on an exclusive basis to recruit an experienced Demand Planner.

In this key role, you will effectively maintain an ordering pattern that provides sufficient stock levels for a variable demand product portfolio, and at the same time meet targets for product availability and stock holding value.

You will be responsible for Vendor deliveries ensuring parts arrive on time and in full while monitoring any arrears and progress chase these so past dues are kept to a minimum.

The role also has the responsibility of coordinating the department activities and to drive improvements and projects to support the attainment of department KPI’s.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ownership over assigned group of products, monitoring the supply in line with company targets, placing PO’s where needed and mitigating risk where met.
  2. Work closely with the wider business to fully understand the demand on products and inventory levels.
  3. Become an expert on the full supply chain for assigned products as to mitigate risk and maximise opportunity.
  4. Develop key relationships with both internal and external teams in order to monitor and track inventory.
  5. Maintain accurate and efficient stock levels in line with company targets.
  6. Develop, track and report on a suite of KPI’s.
  7. Ensure high level of service to internal customers.
  8. Production of stock forecasts and communication of supplemental demand forecasts.
  9. Stock management continually reviewed and analysed (including active stocks, range updates, aged stocks, and new/promo lines).
  10. Run Requisition report daily for your product category ensuring all parts are ordered where possible.
  11. Monitor and drive down back order / arrears situation with your suppliers each week and chase where required, keeping past dues to a minimum and ensuring stock is then delivered.
  12. Attend relevant category meetings with Vendor Management’s and CM’s and communicate any actions for the Demand Planning team.
  13. With forecast and other information from manager work with VM’s to deliver spot / tactical buys thus help reducing COGS.
  14. Participate in vendor visits both onsite and offsite, and look to build a solid working relationship with your relevant vendor contact(s).
  15. Mentor the team to provide business continuity and personal development.

Technical Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Good knowledge of the principles of Supply Chain Management and Demand Planning.
  2. Ability to work cross functionally especially with Commercial, Sales, Warehouse and Suppliers.
  3. Good knowledge of Microsoft systems and processes.
  4. Understanding the relationship between Demand Planning and the impact on warehouse efficiency.
  5. Experience in Demand Planning role in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
  6. Experience of SAP desirable.
  7. Health Safety and Environmental Awareness.
