We are looking for a Resourcing Manager to join our Professional Services team in the UK. The Resourcing Manager will be responsible for the effective allocation and utilization of resources across the organisation, and also developing and maintaining resource plans and forecasts.
Responsibilities
- Allocate resources effectively to projects based on skills, availability, and project priorities
- Monitor resource utilization and identify potential bottlenecks or overallocations
- Proactively identify and resolve resource-related issues and conflicts
- Analyse future resource demand and assess the organization’s capacity to meet those demands
- Identify potential resource gaps and develop strategies to address them (e.g., hiring, training, upskilling)
- Conduct “what-if” analyses to evaluate the impact of different resource allocation scenarios
- Collaborate closely with project managers, team leads, and senior management to understand resource needs and address their concerns
- Communicate resource allocation decisions effectively to all stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance resource management efficiency and effectiveness
Skills and Experience
- Experience in resource management, project management, or a related field
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools)
- Experience with resource management software (e.g., Planview, Clarity, MS Project Server, Certinia, Financial Force, Kantata, etc)
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies
- Salesforce experience highly desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational goals
