Location: Penrith
Contract Type: 37 hrs per week – Fixed term 3 years up to March 2028
About this opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity working within the Housing Retrofit team to support the manager in delivering the new Warm Homes programme; providing professional and technical expertise; and ensuring the delivery of the programme and contracts to deliver retrofit measures, to improve the energy efficiency to resident’s homes.
You will be highly knowledgeable with a strong housing background and appreciative of the complexities and interdependencies of delivering projects. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential to further establish and maintain effective team working and develop partnerships.
You will assist with the development and implementation of the Warm Homes programmes, influencing and negotiating opportunities for funding, whilst being highly organised to ensure compliance with changing legislation and policy.
Who we are looking for…
You will be dynamic and flexible with a strong focus on delivery. You should be a team player but be able to organise your own workload and be committed to providing a high standard of customer service. You will have high competency with IT, in particular Excel, and ideally have knowledge of the Government’s retrofit programmes. You must have the ability to travel efficiently around the Westmorland and Furness area to conduct visits and attend meetings; a full UK driving licence is therefore essential and access to a car would be an advantage.
