Job Description: Charity Engagement Officer
12 months fixed term maternity cover contract

The Police Treatment Centres (PTC) is a national charity dedicated to supporting the serving police workforce and retired police officers with physical and psychological injuries, helping them return to better health and wellbeing. We also manage The Police Children’s Charity, which provides vital support to officers’ families, and this will be within the role\’s remit.
We are looking for a passionate and driven Charity Engagement Officer to join our dynamic and successful team. This is a challenging yet rewarding role, crucial in expanding the impact and reach of our charities.
As part of our Charity Engagement Team, you will play a key role in delivering our engagement strategy. Your creativity and fresh ideas will help drive awareness, maximise fundraising opportunities, and enhance promotional activities for the PTC & The Police Children’s Charity.
We expect this role to be responsible for key areas within the CET, including managing social media platforms, overseeing the Charity Lotto, coordinating fundraising events, and managing hospitality promotion.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong communication skills to engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in public speaking and presenting at events, exhibitions, and meetings.
- A creative flair for social media promotion, copywriting, and print design.
- An agile, proactive approach to engagement and fundraising.
This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract (35 hours per week) based at St Andrews, Harrogate. Travel is essential, so a valid driving license is required (a charity vehicle is provided). Flexibility is key, as some evening and weekend work will be required. We are open to considering condensed hours for the right candidate.
