We are seeking to recruit a Business Engagement Officer in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine & Health. The post will support the development of interactions between the University and Industry and duties will include: supporting academic colleagues in generating income and research opportunities with industry; supporting the development of relationships with external partner organisations; providing support and advice to Faculty researchers on industrial interactions; and promoting the resources and expertise of the Faculty and University to external organisations.
This position will contribute to the development and implementation of the University’s and Faculty’s business engagement and knowledge exchange strategy and supporting objectives.
The role holders will be based within and report to the relevant Faculty and also be a member of the wider functional team of Business Engagement & Knowledge Exchange (BEKE), part of the Directorate of Research and Business Engagement. They will work with colleagues to develop and implement strategic objectives for the University’s engagement with business including addressing opportunities for fully funded collaborative research with business, industry, governmental agencies and other appropriate organisations in response to arising priority areas.
