We are seeking a Terminal Manager to oversee our client\’s internal operations and personnel as well as external commercial activities in Liverpool.
Day-to-day of the role:
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily terminal operations to ensure all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment
- Optimise operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity
Personnel Management:
- Lead and motivate the terminal team, including hiring, training, and developing staff
- Foster a culture of cooperation and teamwork
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
Commercial Activities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base
- Negotiate contracts and pricing arrangements to maximise profitability
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental laws and regulations
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
- Manage emergency plans and respond to incidents
