Pertemps are excited to be working with a leading provider of specialist services who are recruiting for a Test & Inspection Engineer to cover the Southampton area.
This is a full-time permanent role and is fully field-based in the Southampton and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive Electrical installation condition reports in commercial and industrial environments.
- Inspect and test electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear and control equipment.
- Identify and document defects, non-compliance and potential safety hazards.
- Ensure all inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated as required.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain findings, answer questions and provide technical advice.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical inspection or related field.
- City & Guilds 2391-52 or equivalent in Inspection and Testing.
- NVQ Level 3.
- 18th Edition.
- In-depth knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring regulations and other relevant standards and codes.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid UK Driving licence.
The Role
- Salary of £38,000 + Bonus.
- OTE £45,000 – £55,000.
- Fully expensed company van.
- Monday to Friday.
- Additional night work available and an increased rate.
- Full-time permanent salary.
