Are you an experienced HSE leader / Group Head of Health & Safety with experience of both manufacturing and construction settings?

You will be joining a true specialist in their field who are recognised as the go-to option for specialist building envelope systems. These projects are design-led with high architectural value, projects that really have the wow factor!
With a large-scale in-house manufacturing capability, this business operates from factory to site, requiring a strong understanding of HSE requirements in both internal and external operations. We are seeking candidates qualified to degree level (or equivalent) who possess a strong background in designing and implementing HSE strategy for similar sized businesses. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will manage a team of two HSE officers and oversee all HSE matters for the business.
The Group Head of Health & Safety Role:
- Develop, implement and manage HSE policies and procedures across the company
- Assess risk and ensure legal compliance with industry guidelines
- Maintain and coach on HSE programmes and procedures to the ISO14001 & ISO45001 standards
- Liaise with HR on well-being and health issues where risk assessment has identified a need
- Lead a team of two safety officers, allocating site visits and reports accordingly
The Person:
- 5+ years’ experience in senior level health and safety management
- A strong people manager with the ability to drive behavioural change and culture adoption
- ISO45001 experience of implementing action plan against audit findings
- A comprehensive knowledge of current HSE legislation, management and standards
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
