Job Title: M&E Estimator (Mechanical & Electrical)

Location: Central London

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum plus Discretionary Bonus

Overview: On behalf of our client, a leading independent building contractor known for their comprehensive solutions encompassing Building, Mechanical & Electrical, and Maintenance, we are seeking a skilled M&E Estimator. Our client is dedicated to enhancing and maintaining the heritage of some of London\’s most prestigious buildings. The successful candidate will manage a range of projects including refurbishment, maintenance, and developments, with project values from £100k to £2m.

Role Summary: The M&E Estimator will join a team that includes a Contract Manager, two Construction Estimators, and a Quantity Surveyor. The role demands significant experience in estimating for mechanical and electrical projects, and the ability to handle multiple projects and deliver accurate cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and submit budget estimates for mechanical and electrical aspects of projects.
  • Analyze blueprints and technical documents to prepare detailed estimates for M&E systems.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects during the estimating process.
  • Use data and market trends to provide timely and accurate estimates.
  • Maintain communication with contractors and clients to adjust project cost estimations as necessary.
  • Ensure all estimates comply with client standards and project specifications.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an M&E Estimator.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and their installation in various construction projects.
