Job Description

Red Sky Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced HSEQ Manager to ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across our operations. This role focuses primarily on supporting Unit 2 & EAA operations but may extend to other business units as required. The HSEQ Manager will foster a positive health and safety culture, ensuring adherence to regulations, and assist in planning, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing protective and preventative measures in line with company policies and legal requirements. The role will also contribute to securing ISO certifications for the business unit.

Working Hours:

This is a Monday to Friday role based on-site at our TMS entity , both landside and airside.

Key Responsibilities:

HSEQ Strategy and Leadership:

  • Develop and implement HSEQ policies and strategies aligned with industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ regulations and certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Promote a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and quality excellence across the business.

Management System Implementation and Maintenance:

  • Lead the implementation, maintenance, and auditing of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Develop and update HSEQ manuals, procedures, and work instructions in accordance with standards and regulations.
  • Oversee the certification process, liaising with external auditors and certification bodies.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Conduct regular risk assessments, identify hazards, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with UK legislation, including Health and Safety at Work Act and Environmental Protection Act.
  • Keep updated on legal and regulatory changes, advising the business on implications and necessary actions.

Training and Development:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive HSEQ training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Raise awareness and ensure understanding of ISO standards, policies, and procedures within the organization.

Incident Management and Reporting:

  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformities, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and corrective actions through Quentic (TCR H&S platform).
  • Prepare and present regular HSEQ performance reports to senior management.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and lead opportunities for continuous improvement in HSEQ systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and sustainability initiatives within the business.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external HSEQ matters.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, clients, and suppliers.

Outcome, Results, and Key Performance Indicators:

  • Appropriate and timely reporting of accidents and incidents.
  • Ensuring sub-contractor and TCR compliance.
  • Accurate data and reporting for HSEQ metrics.
  • Compliance with relevant legislations and ISO standards.

Health & Safety & ISO Requirements:

  • Act responsibly and help prevent injury to yourself and others.
  • Observe safety rules, operating procedures, and instructions.
  • Use safety equipment, PPE, and protective devices correctly.
  • Report all incidents, dangerous occurrences, or near-misses.
  • Fully cooperate in investigations and report any unsafe practices or equipment.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of HSEQ regulations.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Knowledge of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) operations and/or vehicle maintenance environments (desirable).
  • Familiarity with risk management and safety protocols within high-risk, regulated industries.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HSEQ management, preferably within an aviation or vehicle workshop environment.
  • Proven track record in ISO process implementation and HSEQ program management.
  • Experience working in GSE or ground operations is desirable.

Qualifications:

  • Certifications in HSEQ such as NEBOSH/IOSH (Essential).
  • ISO certification experience (Essential).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety or a related field (desirable).
