PR Account Director (Consumer Tech)
Location: Central London (2 days work from home per week)
Salary: £50K – £60K DOE
We\’re seeking an experienced Account Director to join a leading PR agency\’s Consumer Tech team. This agency is known for its award-winning work across consumer technology, retail, lifestyle, and home entertainment, delivering impactful campaigns for high-profile brands.
In this role, you\’ll lead accounts for a major technology retailer, a leading gaming manufacturer, a consumer tech brand, and a smart home brand. You\’ll bring deep expertise in consumer technology and retail, with strong connections across print, digital, broadcast, and social platforms.
What You\’ll Be Doing:
- Leading and coordinating PR campaigns across multiple high-profile consumer tech accounts.
- Identifying and leveraging news opportunities, drafting spokesperson commentary, and driving social editorial.
- Applying your deep understanding of the tech news & social landscape to generate media opportunities.
- Maximizing your extensive media and influencer network to secure top-tier coverage in the consumer tech space.
- Managing product launches, reviews, and thought leadership campaigns to position brands at the forefront of the industry.
Who You Are:
- A proven Account Director with agency experience in consumer technology.
- A strong communicator and leader who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- An expert in media relations, with strong connections across consumer tech, national, and broadcast media.
- Experienced in influencer campaigns, particularly within gaming, smart home, or emerging tech (a bonus!).
- Skilled in developing creative, impactful content that resonates with tech-savvy audiences.
- Have an extensive network of tech media and influencer contacts.
- Understand the fast-evolving consumer tech landscape, including trends in AI, gaming, smart devices, and wearables.
