This highly successful independent group are looking for a qualified practice manager to work within this busy practice, 3 consulting rooms, 2 screening rooms. 4 OAS, supporting DOs and 3 regular optoms.
You must be a fantastic team leader, enthusiastic, fantastic product knowledge with strong dispensing skills. A candidate who wants to drive the practice to the next level.
MUST BE A GOC REGISTERED DISPENSING OPTICIAN
Main Responsibilities
· To ensure practice efficiency and compliance with organisational procedures
· To ensure total customer satisfaction with products and services
· To be an effective leader, motivating, supporting, training and developing staff
· To realise the full potential of the practice with regard to patient numbers and sales targets
· To achieve maximum profitability
· To be responsible for quality control in all areas
· To manage stock control
· To maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the practice
· To be responsible for health and safety standards across the practice
· Working with the Marketing Dept. to maximise marketing effectiveness at a local level
· To drive cost efficiencies
· Dispensing spectacles to prescriptions
· To ensure that the sale and supply of spectacles and Contact Lenses only takes place under the supervision of a registered optician for children under the age of 16 years and those who are registered sight impaired (partially sighted) or severely sight impaired (blind)
Personal Specification – Skills, Knowledge and Experience
· Previous management experience would be desirable, or a proven track record of developing and supporting staff
· Strong background in customer service
· Experience of driving business performance such as sales, customer satisfaction and cost efficiencies
· Strong leader, able to motivate and engage with staff at all levels
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to put the customer first and act in a professional manner in all situations, able to act with tact and discretion
· Positive and outgoing
· Flexibility – able to be flexible on days worked and provide cover to other practices
· Well-presented and professional
· Attention to detail
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
