Our client Scottish Power are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join their team in Glasgow (hybrid minimum 2 days per week at the office).

It is an inside IR35 contract role approved for 6 months (likely to be extended to 9 months) paying competitive rates.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Manager who will have a proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns, driving brand awareness, and achieving business objectives. This role requires a creative thinker with strong influencing & communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

A key priority for the Senior Marketing Manager will be to maximise the visibility and relevance of Scottish Power products & services, increasing the volume of leads and sales across Domestic Gas and Electricity, Smart Solutions & Home Services products. An integrated approach is required to drive traffic and the optimal source of that traffic to the Scottish Power website with a focus on traffic quality and ease of customer journeys to facilitate conversions and sales.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to achieve business goals.
  2. Develop and deliver the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, print, social media, etc.).
  3. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  4. Collaborate with the sales team to align marketing efforts with sales objectives.
  5. Responsibility for budget management with a keen eye on maximising ROI.
  6. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using data-driven insights to optimize performance.
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
  8. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

The Senior Marketing Manager reports to the Senior Lead – G&E Marketing and has responsibility for driving and delivering marketing strategies to acquire new domestic energy customers to grow the overall ScottishPower portfolio. The post holder will be required to manage a mix of stakeholders across ScottishPower.

Key Performance Areas:

  1. Driving increased traffic and sales across all energy products.
  2. Supporting the delivery of traffic and conversion strategies aimed at increasing cost-effective product conversions and sales volumes ensuring value.
  3. Manage pipeline and funnel reporting with an ability to highlight opportunities to improve conversions.
  4. Identify opportunities and deliver propositions to support sales growth and maximise performance.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Graduate or equivalent, ideally in a Marketing or Business-focussed discipline.
  2. At least 7 years Acquisition Marketing experience.
  3. Online acquisition marketing experience with a proven ability to drive sales volumes whilst maintaining high quality levels.
  4. Ability to launch and monitor new initiatives with a track record in test and learn strategies to take projects from trial to enduring solutions, seeking continuous improvement.
  5. Results focused with strong planning and excellent analytical/data analysis skills.
  6. Confident, with a proven track record of communicating, presenting, and influencing at a senior level both internally and externally.
  7. Proven experience in digital marketing with experience of delivering high-performing acquisition campaigns including growth via affiliate or partner platforms.
  8. Proficient in utilising tools such as Google Analytics, or other relevant platforms.
  9. Good understanding of PPC & SEO best practices and experience with content optimisation and recommendations.
  10. Familiarity with email marketing tools and best practices.
