The team

The Organic Social team commissions and produces all output for ITV & ITVX social media channels.

The Responsive Social team is responsible for using data and insights from the audience to strategically drive conversation, relevance and engagement across ITV and ITVX.

This role will work across responsive social activity, helping to build, grow, and manage ITV’s social communities by actively engaging with audiences across various social media platforms, facilitating meaningful interactions, and promoting a positive brand image through content creation and community initiatives, ultimately aiming to foster a strong connection between the brand and its audience in a modern and authentic way.

The role

  • Understand the interests and needs of our communities, engage with our audience, and ensure that our platforms remain a positive and respectful space.
  • Be creative and agile in a fast moving environment to maximise opportunities to connect trending moments to the brand.
  • Help establish and enforce the brand Tone of Voice in a consistent and recognisable manner across all owned and earned platforms.
  • Ideate, create and publish best-in-class, audience-led, reactive video, image and text content. Ensuring that content is on brand, compliant and drives outcome-led goals.
  • Using listening tools; monitor and gauge our audiences’ views of the brand and feed back to the team, to keep our approach evolving, relevant and to a high standard.
  • Embrace and apply a test and learn approach to continually drive learnings and improvements.
  • Be obsessed with all things social and stay abreast of latest platform developments and trending activity to maximise organic social opportunities.
  • Create and maintain healthy and collaborative relationships across PR, production, viewer services and other social media teams.
  • Work closely with talent, influencers, content creators and contributors, inspiring and encouraging them to support the brand’s social ambitions.
  • Have a strong awareness of legal, commercial and OFCOM regulations.
  • Initiative to go above and beyond what is asked, to demonstrate enthusiasm for the role in the organic social team and drive innovation.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Previous experience managing and engaging with social communities is essential.
  • Demonstrable experience of copywriting is essential.
  • Demonstrable experience of creating professional social media content and campaigns is essential.
  • Previous experience working in Digital production for a media publisher or agency is preferred.
  • Experience of working with production (TV, Radio, Digital, Agency etc) teams is preferred.

  • An understanding of organic social content is essential.
  • Excellent copywriting, spelling and grammar skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Experience publishing content across digital platforms.
  • Experience making basic video, image and text content for digital platforms at a major brand.
  • Experience using data to inform decisions about what content to publish, when and where.
  • Excellent editorial judgement.
  • Can-do, self-starter attitude who can work independently to get things done.
