Building Surveyor (Interim)
Location: North London
Rate: £41.90 per hour (Umbrella)
A London Local Authority is seeking an Interim Building Surveyor to join their team. This role involves diagnosing and addressing building defects within the Council’s housing stock, ensuring necessary repairs are carried out efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct home visits to identify defects that fall under the Council’s responsibility.
Diagnose repair issues, including condensation and damp, and arrange remedial works.
Draft reports for presentation to the High Value Repair Panel.
Carry out building inspections to assess and diagnose structural defects.
Provide recommendations and prepare specifications using a schedule of rates.
Requirements:
Experience in social housing surveying.
A relevant surveying or construction qualification.
Strong diagnostic skills to identify building defects and recommend solutions.
Organised and proactive, able to manage own caseload effectively.
Good understanding of damp, mould, and condensation issues.
Full UK driving licence required
