Job Description
Role: Unit Manager β HR
Location: London, UK
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geo HR Specialist to oversee and support HR-related activities in the UK. The HR Manager will be responsible for designing and institutionalizing HR processes and ensuring all local HR compliance is achieved.
Role and responsibilities
- Actively contribute to the design, development, local implementation, and coordination of HR strategies, policies, and operations in partnership with business unit and regional leadership.
- Evaluate challenges in the business and propose solutions to regional and corporate leadership.
- Work closely with leadership, line managers, and employees to support business needs.
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, performance management, and workplace investigations.
- Ensure company policies and HR practices comply with UK employment laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in employment legislation and proactively implement necessary updates.
- Support audits, legal cases, and compliance-related matters, collaborating with legal teams when required.
- Design employee engagement practices to create a positive work environment.
- Recommend and deliver local solutions covering multiple areas of human resources including onboarding, local benefits, training, employee/labour relations, or other services.
- Partner effectively with Central HR functions such as compensation, recruiting, payroll, and organizational effectiveness.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor\βs or masterβs degree in human resources, business management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of HR experience in the UK, ideally in an international matrix environment, with expertise in employee relations, UK employment law, compensation & benefits, HR compliance, and administration.
- Proven experience handling complex ER cases, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of professionalism.
