Our client is looking for a dynamic Specification Consultant with proven lighting sales experience to generate new business revenue while nurturing and expanding existing accounts. You will leverage warm leads from our client\’s brand, marketing, and events to grow their presence in the high-end residential and hospitality sectors. Experience in these industries is advantageous, but above all, you should understand the nuances, language, and specific requirements of these sectors.
Our client is particularly keen to excel in hospitality, with the ideal candidate being able to collaborate with architects, interior designers, and high-end property developers. Although experience in residential lighting projects is preferred, it is not essential. A strong network of contacts in the architecture and design sectors will be highly valued.
Your role will include regular in-person interactions with current and potential clients to promote their brand, products, and services, maintaining their reputation for excellence. You will deliver a first-class customer experience and help clients achieve their lighting goals while also managing project stakeholders effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business sales and nurture existing accounts, ensuring customer loyalty and growth.
- Leverage warm leads provided by the brand, marketing, and events to build a strong pipeline.
- Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and high-end property developers, ideally leveraging existing relationships.
- Promote our client\’s services and reputation, ensuring exceptional customer service and value.
- Provide expert guidance on lighting design to ensure that customers’ needs are met with precision and care.
- Maintain regular contact with key stakeholders and project stakeholders for effective project management.
- Develop and expand a portfolio of accounts, taking ownership and responsibility for each client relationship.
Required Experience & Skills
- Lighting sales experience is essential.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a sales role, including prospecting and lead follow-up.
- Proven ability to secure and manage relationships with stakeholders in the high-end residential or hospitality sectors.
- Ability to multitask and juggle multiple high-priority clients with professionalism, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
- A tenacious attitude, with a hunger to build and grow a portfolio of clients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form long-term, trusted relationships with clients.
- Experience working with architects, interior designers, and developers is preferred.
