The Account Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient management of the Company’s business using operational interaction, direct supervision of staff and liaison with clients for a designated region.

Job Title: Account Manager
Location: Ward Security, Appold Street, London, EC2A2AW
Shift pattern: Monday – Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be actively involved in all operational duties, ensuring you can provide a comprehensive account of actions taken by staff under your responsibility, and the Company’s operational needs whilst always leading by example.
  • Manage the finances for each site, expecting to maximise profit through tight management of direct costs and ad-hoc work.
  • Using commercial awareness to support the growth of your region by identifying business opportunities and working with the regional sales team to identify growth opportunities.
  • Keeping up to date with current threat levels, advising staff and clients accordingly, and looking at action plans to implement given a change in status.
  • Ensure efficient and effective deployment of personnel, look to maximise trained resources, ensure rates of pay reflect site requirement, minimising enhanced subsequent costs.
  • When necessary, ensure completion of investigations/disciplinary/Grievance hearings in line with company policy.
  • Undertake monthly review/KPI meetings with all Clients ensuring client-specific documentation and reports are produced in a timely manner. To identify areas of best practice. Similarly, producing action plans for remedial areas as and when necessary.
  • Effective leadership, continuously monitoring the progress of all staff, evaluating through regular supervision and appraisal of the targets and objectives, and correcting underperformance as necessary to ensure the highest level of service delivery.
  • To support contractual changes, when necessary, liaise with relevant departments through contract mobilisation to establish a comprehensive appreciation of full requirements and pricing structure and expectations.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the designated portfolio by liaising with the appropriate staff as necessary to ensure the effective use of Company resources to achieve its mission.
  • Flexible approach and availability to manage a 24/7 Operation as part of a team.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

  • Min 2 years within Operations/Security
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Excellent communication skills, leadership, influencing and negotiation skills with various audiences
  • Knowledge of KPI reporting with an understanding of impact
  • Demonstrable track record of leading and managing teams
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to negotiate with stakeholders at all levels and demonstrate the ability to build solid relationships with internal and external clients
