Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager – ILS, you will provide significant leadership in the delivery of Integrated Logistic Support to a programme that is at the Demonstration phase of the CADMID life cycle and will permit the successful candidate to influence the design, using the principles of ILS, to increase the survivability for UK Service Personnel deployed on operations.
Responsibilities will include:
- To undertake the Supportability tasks in accordance with Def Stan 00-600 and customer Requirements, or any other recognised ILS standards, as directed.
- To author, develop and maintain ILS plans through to Customer acceptance and resulting implementation.
- To substantially influence the design to optimise it in relation to availability, reliability and maintainability, where appropriate to reduce TLC.
- To undertake Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) tasks in accordance with Def Stan 00-40 series and customer Requirements.
- To identify areas of the product design which could impact on the Reliability or Maintainability of the product and to recommend alternatives to ensure R&M targets are attainable.
- To populate the Logistic Support Analysis Record with the analysis carried out in accordance with Def Stan 00-600, ASD S3000L and customer specifications.
- To ensure ILS tasks are completed to schedule; with a Customer accepted level of applied ILS; and, within resources allocated for the task.
- To support other Integrated Support Activities; such as, Training Needs Analysis development, and, information for the development of Technical Publications.
- To provide support to the Bid Team in the creation of ILS components for tender proposals on other Contracts within the programme.
- To uphold the Company Values in all business activity.

- Experience of ILS software (e.g. EAGLE, OPUS10, SIMLOX) is highly desirable.
- Good written and verbal skills combined with leading an engineering team is highly desirable.
