As the Accountant at Brecks Group, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the company. This includes maintaining accurate records, preparing financial reports, and budgeting. You will work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure the efficient and effective use of resources to achieve the company’s financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  2. Manage the budgeting and forecasting process
  3. Review and analyze financial data to identify potential areas for cost reduction and improvement
  4. Monitor and reconcile bank statements and other financial transactions
  5. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws
  6. Collaborate with various departments to develop and maintain financial plans and budgets
  7. Prepare and submit tax forms, such as sales tax, payroll tax, and tax returns
  8. Assist with the preparation of annual audits and working with external auditors
  9. Analyze and interpret financial information to advise management on potential financial risks and opportunities
  10. Identify and recommend solutions for improving the company’s financial performance
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in financial regulations to provide accurate and timely financial reporting

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  2. CPA or equivalent certification
  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a corporate setting
  4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
  6. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  7. Experience with financial analysis and forecasting
