Hays Senior Finance are exclusively partnering with a Gloucestershire-based housing association who are on an exciting journey of growth and transformation.
Looking to recruit a Senior Finance Business Partner to play a key role in our evolving finance team. This is an opportunity to develop your career in a forward-thinking business where you can make a real impact. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you\’ll act as a trusted advisor, working closely with senior leaders to provide commercial and financial insight that drives opportunities, manages risk, and supports my clients\’ strategic objectives.
You\’ll challenge financial performance, ensure strong financial planning and reporting, and help shape the future direction of the business. Leading a small team, you\’ll oversee accurate forecasting, budget management, financial modelling, and regulatory compliance. You\’ll also be responsible for business case development, investment appraisals, and ensuring robust financial governance. As part of a collaborative and high-performing team, you\’ll drive continuous improvement, champion best practices, and play a key role in external audits.
Beyond the numbers, you\’ll inspire and develop your team, fostering a culture of trust, innovation, and excellence. You\’ll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, building strong relationships and helping to embed a proactive, insight-driven approach to financial decision-making.
This role is permanent and full time. You will be based at our office in Tewkesbury with some travel to other sites across the South West and Midlands, with regular home working available. The role requires a DBS Basic and Consumer Check.
What We\’re Looking For:
- Senior accountancy experience with strong business partnering skills, ideally in construction or housing associations.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate effectively at Executive and Board level.
- Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, business case appraisal, and risk management.
- Strong finance and operational systems knowledge with a thorough understanding of legislation and reporting standards.
- Qualified in finance (ACCA, ACA) with excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
- A proactive, results-driven leader with strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
