- Job Description: Junior Commercial Analyst (UK)

Role Summary:
The Junior Commercial Analyst plays a crucial role within the Commercial team, providing financial and business analysis support related to client accounts. This position will be responsible for analysing client profitability, revenue forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. The Junior Commercial Analyst will work closely with various stakeholders, including Project Management, Account Management, and Finance, to ensure accurate and timely information is available to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, capacity planning and resource utilisation and expenses for client accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on client performance and key commercial metrics.
- Analyse client profitability and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development of client budgets and monitor performance against budget.
- Analyse client contracts and identify potential financial risks and opportunities.
- Support the commercial and account management teams in pricing negotiations and contract renewals.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new commercial processes and procedures.
- Conduct ad-hoc commercial analysis and reporting as requested.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in commercial analysis.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in commercial analysis, financial analysis, or a related field, preferably within a services industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level, including pivot tables, vlookups, and other data manipulation functions).
- Experience working with large datasets.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of basic accounting and financial principles.
