The Mid Corporate Team onboards new business in the Commercial/Corporate space with a card turnover between £2m and £50m.
To focus on developing relationships with our banking partner, external introducers, work on campaigns, attending events and self-generating new business for Global Payments.

Responsibilities of our New Business Manager:
- To develop and execute a “go to market” strategy for Commercial and Mid Corporate customers in key market verticals or geographies in line with Global Payments offering.
- To generate, build, maintain and communicate a robust and tangible sales pipeline to track and plot your success.
- To build and expand upon internal and external networks to generate opportunities and maximise new sales and cross-selling revenue.
- Create localised strategies to support the self-generation of leads and referral opportunities.
- To be the “Voice Of The Customer” to steer and direct our Business Development opportunities in Product Development, User Experience, Customer Success and Marketing strategies.
- To drive commercial proposals in an accurate, timely and creative manner.
- To make commercial judgement through market knowledge and provide suitable payment solutions for customers.
- To build relationships and assess prospective customer needs in order to enhance our customer’s experience and maximise net revenue.
- Take ownership of providing a fantastic service to all our customers, including resolving complex issues to drive world class retention.
- To onboard and implement launch of Global Payments services in line with policies (price, credit and risk, compliance, card schemes) and Customer plan.
- To represent Global Payments at industry events.
Essential Skills Required for our New Business Manager:
- A highly motivated and driven individual, focused on achieving and exceeding targets.
- A track record of winning new business and exceeding sales targets.
- A sales professional with strong commercial acumen and a sales planning approach at sector, channel and opportunity level.
- A strong understanding of Payments, the ecosystem and driving factors.
- Experience of selling “Payment Solutions” would be preferential (acquiring, payment gateways, POS, SaaS organisations, or related Financial software).
- Strong interpersonal skills that can influence and communicate throughout hierarchy both internally and externally.
- Highest level of presentation skills; verbally and written.
- Personable and approachable, with an enthusiastic and motivational nature and an overall passion for excellence.
- Demonstrable ability to present and negotiate to win new customers, maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and integrity and handling objections effectively.
- Strong levels of accuracy when completing paperwork.
