Job Summary
Leading the adoption of hydrogen technologies at scale for decades, Black & Veatch understands the revolutionary capabilities of hydrogen to reduce carbon emissions and pave the way for a greener future. BV is already positioned for and delivering progress today across green hydrogen for power generation and storage, advanced transportation and fuel-cell technology, and as a feedstock for green chemicals, as well as the processing of blue hydrogen with carbon capture technology.
As Project Manager – Process/Hydrogen , you’ll focus on Sustainable Process Solutions projects (predominantly Hydrogen but also including Sustainable Fuels, Ammonia etc) within EMEA. You’ll lead all aspects of medium to large projects with multiple clients, managing and leading teams of multi-discipline professionals and coordinating the activities of all third-party companies contributing to the project delivery.
This role can be based at our offices in Glasgow or London in the United Kingdom. We work hybrid, 3 days per in the office and 2 days from home.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be accountable for:
- Managing all aspects of sustainable process projects, including risk to cost, schedule, quality.
- Managing FEL 1, 2 and 3 Projects and EPC Phase.
- Overseeing the day-to-day execution of projects, including financial metrics, planning, scheduling, and staffing.
- Obtaining new/repeat business on medium to large size projects and supporting contract negotiations.
- Actively promoting BV’s safety culture.
- Working with discipline Engineers and Construction Managers to identify and resolve problems or issues related to design, schedule, materials, change management safety and quality.
- Participation in integrated planning sessions.
- Managing risk which may include fixed price, new technology, non domestic markets or new clients.
Management Responsibilities
Acts as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individual comprising this team may vary by project.
Minimum Qualifications
To qualify for this role, candidates should have:
- Prior experience with Hydrogen or process industry.
- IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
- Project Management Qualification.
- Construction Design Management (CDM) Trained/Experience.
