About the role: – At Next we have a great opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our busy catering team at our Head Office in Leicestershire. Working within our onsite restaurant you will play an important role supporting the business to ensure that all deliveries arrive in acceptable condition and to maintain high cleanliness and health and safety standards within the kitchen. This is a part time position working 11am to 3pm You will: – Ensure that all deliveries arrive in acceptable condition & at the correct temperature – Put away deliveries on arrival & store correctly complying with all health & safety regulations – Maintain a high standard of cleanliness & safety within the kitchen & restaurant areas – Ensure all deliveries are put away in stock rotation safely without risk to others & efficiently. – Wash all pots, pans and kitchen equipment to a high standard. – Maintain the cleanliness of dishwash room dishwashers sanitised and kept free from harmful bacteria –
Empty rubbish bins & removal of any other waste at regular intervals to keep floors clear of possible hazards. – Ensure cleaning schedule is completed daily. – Complete daily laundry & replenishment of clean cloths available. – Report any breakages of equipment as it occurs. – Comply with quality and safety standards at all times. – Ensure that all windows & doors are locked at the end of each shift & take keys back to security.
