Night Duty Manager – The Trafalgar St. James

The Trafalgar St. James offers a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual looking to progress their career as a Night Manager in lifestyle and luxury hotels.

Part of Crimson Hotels, The Trafalgar St. James, Curio Collection by Hilton is a 5 Star hotel with 131 bedrooms including 3 signature suites and various venues including our unique Rooftop bar, lauded as one of the best in the city.

Key Responsibilities

As a Night Duty Manager, you will represent the hotel and be the point of reference for team members, as well as:

  • Be the first point of contact for our guests and assist them with any enquiries while promoting the hotel, its bars, restaurants, and services.
  • Manage the needs and expectations of VIPs, long-stay guests, and all other guests alike.
  • Handle any specific requests or complaints.
  • Act as a coordinator during emergency situations, taking responsibility during fire evacuations.
  • Ensure all relevant information is handed over efficiently and accurately to all those involved.
  • Understand UK regulations regarding serving food and liquor to guests during nightly hours, being fully aware of the Licensing Laws and Food Hygiene.
  • Ensure that “fire walks” or safety checks are carried out at regular intervals both during day and night shifts.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate for our Night Duty Manager role is a person with a clear passion for service. You engage with guests easily and use your intuition and creativity to deliver a wonderful experience for everyone. The ability to multitask and prioritize is important, alongside the ability to work well under pressure with a broad smile. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, produce quality work, and be flexible to work shifts.

Experience in a similar environment is preferable, and knowledge of OnQ is a plus; however, we look for attitude, quality, and interpersonal skills rather than experience, as we will provide the tools to ensure your success in this role.

Shift patterns will be on a 4 on 4 off basis.
