Description Overview
Are you curious by nature, proactive and passionate about transforming consumer data insights into strategic business insights?
We are hiring an experienced Regional Business Intelligence Lead to join the OTC business unit in one of our European head offices.
Scope of the Role
In this role, you will manage and innovate the way we buy, track & report consumer sell-out data for the OTC business unit.
Buy:
- Become the go-to contact for our key consumer sales data suppliers for Europe (e.g IQVIA, Nielsen, Circana,…)
- Lead the data buying harmonisation by defining the right categories & channel across the different markets to drive consistency across Europe.
- Identify potential synergies across different countries & systems to drive standardisation.
- Support the local teams in any question or additional requests across the different categories.
Track:
- Retrieve, combine & structure consumer sales data across categories from the local commercial teams & internal data platforms.
- Be the data visualization expert by developing dynamic, accessible & insightful reports and dashboards through different tools, including but not limited to PowerBI and Excel.
- Follow-up on deployed reports and dashboards to provide continuous improvement of user adoption and sophistication of insights.
- Support local teams in their transformation towards more dynamic, insightful & visual tools, enabling more data-driven decision-making. This is by providing advice and coaching, not (necessarily) by creating reports for them.
- Identify automation and process improvement opportunities and work with technical teams to implement solutions. Set up connections to underlying databases (e.g. Nielsen, IQVIA,…) and build data models that map sources together.
Report:
- Interpret & summarise the data from the local and central platforms to provide actionable insights & recommendations, facilitating one cohesive source of truth across categories & markets.
- Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders gathering information & understanding business needs to provide the define the right reporting mechanics.
- Lead multiple reporting presentations for the leadership & commercial members.
- Be a trusted, valued business partner to leadership through the delivery of analysis. Support end-users with instructions, answering questions, and evaluating their feedback.
Experience Required
What you will need to be successful:
- Passion for digging into data, extracting insights, and creating actionable recommendations.
- Fast & eager to learn: ability to quickly learn software applications or other new technology needed to conduct analysis.
- Possess business acumen and feel the needs of end-users: The candidate must be able to place themself in the end-user position and know what is the right data point and visualization that will lead to a high adoption rate of the reports.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with strong attention to detail: Strong organization, time management skills and ability to work autonomously. Results-oriented with the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Leadership and stakeholder management skills: to be able to influence peers, leadership, external partners & local teams.
- Advanced Excel and PowerBI skills. Experience with IQVIA, IRI, Nielsen, or other syndicated data sources is preferred but not required.
Must haves:
- Limited travel: ~10% of the time
- Comfortable working with remote team.
- Minimum 8 years of business analytics with data visualization building-specific experience. Preferably in an FMCG, Consumer Health, or Retail environment.
