BIM Coordinator Old Oak Common office/Southwark Design Office/Working from Home Company Description: The Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering will provide comprehensive turn-key services for London’s state-of-the-art HS2 gateway station at Old Oak Common. We have been awarded a multi-year contract to deliver MEPHFC (Mechanical, Electrical Public Health, Fire and Communications) systems works. Based in London 3 days a week, 1-2 days on site in Old Oak Common (West London) and 1-2 days in our Southwark office is required. Job Description: BIM Coordinator, to support and coordinate the process of managing and creating digital information of different kinds. As an interdisciplinary position, a modelling coordinator ensures that information and data flow in a specific order according to standard BIM methodology. To accomplish this, the coordinator works with BIM managers/coordinators and specialists, connecting these two important areas of construction teams to ensure that projects run efficiently and comply with BIM management guidelines. Modelling coordinators essentially establish and maintain BIM workflows, resolving any coordination issues that may arise, additional support will be required to support interface parties and our supply chain. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the delivery and management of projects from technical design to construction stage to ensure compliance and delivered to project standards. Responsible for implementing best practice and consistent processes across the project, this includes liaising with project stakeholders and the supply chain to ensure the correct standards are applied. Responsible for quality processes and quality standards of all deliverables, including exchange information and conversion processes. Utilise Bentley ProjectWise with OpenBuilding Designer, and MicroStation for detailed 3D CAD model creation and documentation, ensuring models are fully coordinated and by using clash avoidance tools which are embedded within the digital twin used on the project. Liaise with discipline BIM leads to ensure optimized clash results using suppression rules based on modelling methods. Support the production of high-quality 3D CAD models and detailed construction drawings for specific elements of railway station projects, ensuring integration with overall project information models. Produce model geometry and information in line with the Component Catalogue and outline information within the BIM Execution Plan (BEP). Ensure all models that are submitted, meet the project requirements set out, and ensure systems are in place for clash avoidance, internal model audits and clash detection before model submission. Support and liaise with the BIM Coordinator, BIM Manager and wider project joint venture team in the implementation of deliverables adhering to specified project standards and to facilitate issue resolution. Assist in the maintenance of the project\’s ProjectWise Common Data Environment, ensuring accurate and timely information flow and adherence to data management standards. Participate in quality assurance checks to ensure they meet the project\’s accuracy, detail, and the employers information requirements. Assist in monitoring compliance with the BEP and the supporting project standards, contributing to regular reports on BIM deliverable status. Work closely with other disciplines to ensure the 3D CAD models are integrated and coordinated efficiently, attending regular coordination meetings as necessary. Provide technical support and guidance to project team members on BIM-related issues. Qualifications: Essential Criteria: Bentley iTwin Design Review Bentley ProjectWise Bentley OpenBuilding Designer Bentley Microstation BIM Modeller with at least a minimum of 3 years’ experience in major infrastructure/transportation projects Experience of working in an engineering production environment A railway, transportation or construction background is ideal Experience of delivering projects to UK BIM Standards including BS1192 and ISO 19650.
