Onshore Renewable Energy Developer across Europe
Up to £80,000 DOE + benefits
London based office – hybrid working model
An industry leading developer working across 6 countries in Europe is looking for an addition to their growing UK team. This brand new role in their team will work alongside the Head of Grid to challenge connection agreements.
You\’d be joining an existing team that works across all stages of the development lifecycle, as well as an experienced Head of Grid. Together, this team has managed to develop an impressive pipeline. This currently stands as a blend of solar and storage, with their pipeline also expanding into data centres. Rough numbers for this pipeline include over 2GW of BESS at various stages of development alongside just under 1GW of solar entering their pipeline through acquisition and an additional 50MW already under development. The team is experienced in gaining successful development and grid connections, so you\’ll be joining an accomplished team on their mission. Their wider, global pipeline stands at over 5GW!
Alongside their impressive UK work, they have additional pipelines across 6 more European countries. This means that there are additional revenue streams within the group as well as additional support for teams to lean on for developments. Currently, the business model works to shovel ready state. This is something the business is exploring and open to considering!
Not only is this business strong in pipeline and model, but they are a flexible organisation offering a 4-day working week!
To join this forward-thinking, innovative team, you\’ll need the following:
- Experience in renewable energy, solar and energy storage.
- Experienced in power systems analysis and familiar with relevant tools (DIgSILENT, PSCAD & ETAP).
- Experienced in grid connection studies – feasibility studies, network studies and grid application agreements.
In this role, you\’ll have really varied responsibilities:
- Stakeholder communications: A key part of this position will be communicating with DNOs and TSO for grid offers. The core of this role will be centred around negotiating offers, using power system studies for grid analysis as well as maintaining/establishing relationships with these organisations for connection agreements.
- Power systems analysis: A large part of this role will be conducting power systems analysis and using systems studies for connection agreements.
- Grid connection studies and compliance work: Working on network studies, managing application studies and ensuring these are compliant with relevant grid codes.
This is a brilliant opportunity for somebody technical, looking to broaden their skill set into a developer. If you\’re interested in learning more, apply to this role or reach out via email!
