About the Role
Are you a proven expert in risk, resilience, and crisis management with a strong track record in sales and business development? Do you thrive on delivering high-value consulting services while driving growth and building client relationships?
As the Head of Resilience Advisory, you will lead and manage our Expert Services team in the UK Public and Corporate sector. This role is a balance of sales, delivery and team management requiring you to win new business, develop existing relationships, and ensure exceptional project execution from a small team of award-winning dedicated consultants.
You will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering best-in-class advisory services while managing and developing a small team of consultants. What You’ll Be Doing
Sales & Business Growth (50%)
- Own & Drive Sales Strategy – Develop and execute a sales plan to grow our Expert Services offering in the UK Public & Corporate sector.
- Lead Business Development – Identify and pursue new opportunities, respond to RFPs, and craft compelling proposals to win new clients.
- Manage & Grow Key Accounts – Serve as a trusted advisor, strengthening existing relationships and expanding our footprint with current clients.
- Achieve Revenue Targets – Take ownership of sales performance, driving sustainable and profitable growth for the business.
- Position 4C as a Market Leader – Represent 4C Strategies at industry events, conferences, and thought leadership initiatives.
Project Delivery & Client Success (50%)
- Lead High-Impact Consulting Engagements – Oversee and personally deliver complex resilience, risk, and crisis management projects.
- Ensure Excellence in Execution – Maintain high standards of delivery, ensuring all client engagements are on time, on budget, and exceed expectations.
- Drive Operational Resilience – Help organizations build resilience frameworks, implement risk mitigation strategies, and improve crisis response capabilities.
- Manage & Develop a High-Performing Team – Lead and mentor a small team of consultants, ensuring they deliver to the highest professional standards.
- Monitor Financial & Delivery Metrics – Oversee project budgets, profitability, and key client engagement metrics.

- Proven experience in risk, resilience, or crisis management consulting (ideally within a management consultancy).
- Experience in sales, proposal writing, and business development.
- Strong knowledge of Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, and Risk Management frameworks.
- Ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders & cross-functional projects.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively communicate complex concepts.
- Experience leading and delivering strategic consulting engagements.
Nice-to-Have
- Previous line management experience (or a passion for developing others).
- Understanding of international standards (ISO 22301, ISO 31000, NIST, etc.).
- Familiarity with public sector and corporate risk landscapes.
