Duration: initial 6-months

Location: Hybrid, 2-3 times per week in Wokingham

Rate: inside IR35

Responsibilities:

1. Work with the project team and the customer team on the Dispatch algorithm as part of Balancing Transformation programs.
2. Support in Quality Assurance and Development of Modern Optimisation Algorithm.
3. Coordinate with different functional teams and Business to review and test Scenarios.
4. Perform exploratory testing to find defects and observations.
5. Assist in the development of requirement tools and automation of testing the algorithm.

Skills required:

1. Solid coding skills in Python.
2. Test Automation skills using Python, Java, Selenium.
3. Experience solving optimization problems using various techniques.
4. Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
5. Strong understanding of mathematical programming solvers for LP, QP, and MIP (MILP, MIQP, and MIQCP) problems.
6. Understanding of data collection, preprocessing, and analysis.
7. Experience using statistical computer languages (Python, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
8. Familiarity with Gurobi Optimizer.
9. Optimization problem-solving skills.
