ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Functional Training & Capability Lead to join our People Potential and Organisational Development team (Global CoE). This role will be instrumental in enhancing the functional (technical and business) skills of employees across all divisions, supporting Sportradar's mission to drive innovation and excellence. The successful candidate will lead strategic learning initiatives around building our Organisational Capabilities, manage Functional development programs, and ensure that employees have the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving sport tech industry.

THE CHALLENGE

  • Partner with Divisional leaders, Divisional People Partners (DPPs) and SMEs to identify critical skill gaps and implement targeted upskilling initiatives.
  • Design, deliver, and evaluate comprehensive programs that enhance functional and technical competencies across various business units.
  • Lead the design and management of Functional Academies, ensuring structured learning paths aligned with business needs.
  • Facilitate and oversee external training requests, ensuring alignment with company goals and comprehensive evaluation.
  • Partner with external vendors as needed, managing budget and supporting the procurement process for external learning vendors.
  • Ensure training program evaluations and prepare impact analytics to optimize learning effectiveness.

Knowledge Management

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to keep learning content relevant and impactful.
  • Manage knowledge learning communities, such as Sportradar’s Knowledge Stadium and other initiatives, ensuring the curation and accessibility of essential technical and business knowledge to a wider audience.
  • Maintain and update the Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning digital content, ensuring high-quality learning content and a seamless user experience.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with Divisional leaders, Divisional People Partners, technical experts, and external training providers.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic insights on technical skill-building and functional development.
  • Regularly communicate progress, impact, and areas for improvement to key stakeholders.
  • Overall financial, data and global training plan management and execution.
  • Measure the impact of learning initiatives using data and feedback to drive improvements.
  • Foster a culture of lifelong learning, encouraging continuous professional growth.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation in training delivery, such as AI-assisted learning, immersive experiences, and on-the-job learning tools.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Learning & Development, with a focus on functional and technical skills development, curriculum development.
  • Experience with both instructional design and training delivery.
  • Strong program management capabilities, with the ability to oversee multiple learning initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to assess learning needs, measure outcomes, and drive continuous improvements.
  • Passion for innovation, learning technology, and creating impactful learning experiences.
