Fresh People are currently recruiting for a Category manager on a Fixed term basis to lead the procurement strategy , for a Fresh Produce business based in London on a hybrid working model . In this role you will be directly responsible for sourcing and buying fruit and will be responsible for the overall fresh produce sourcing strategy by ensuring you are sourcing the best produce from the best suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement – Secure the best fresh produce by negotiating competitive prices and managing supplier relationships across all fruit categories.
Product Range Development – Drive the selection of core, seasonal, and innovative produce lines to provide customers with an exciting and diverse offering.
Supplier Management – Conduct regular supplier reviews to ensure top-quality produce and maintain strong, ethical supplier relationships.
Cost & Budget Control – Optimize procurement strategies to ensure balanced, cost-effective sourcing while maintaining quality.
Brand & Industry Engagement – Represent the company at industry events, build strong networks, and raise brand awareness.
Team Leadership & Development – Mentor and support the Sourcing team, fostering a high-performance culture.
