About the role:

As our Project Director , you\’ll oversee the delivery of large-scale hybrid and live events, ensuring excellence from concept to execution. You\’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage key client relationships, and drive strategic account growth – all while creating unforgettable experiences.

As an Project Director, you will:
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality, large-scale hybrid and live events, serving as the main operational contact for clients.
- Bring together teams from logistics, production, creative services, and delegate management specialisms to offer a seamless experience for clients.
- Lead client relationships and strategic account management, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Handle onboarding, budget creation, proposals, and contract negotiations for new clients.
- Maintain project status, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure optimal service and rates, addressing any issues as they arise.
- Lead client planning calls, manage event schedules, and provide expert consultation on logistics and production best practices.
- Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle and provide solutions.
You\’re good at:
- Managing large-scale events (1,000+ attendees) with a focus on logistics and production.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships while exceeding their expectations.
- Overseeing project finance, including budget preparation and profitability targets.
- Leading large teams on-site and effectively delegating tasks to ensure seamless event execution.
- Communicating proactively and maintaining transparency throughout project lifecycles.
You must also have:
- Years of experience in the event industry with a global scope.
- Hands on experience in delivering international events from both a logistics and production perspective.
- Ability to manage complex projects with multiple senior stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Sound knowledge of technical production and interpretation of technical drawings. Resilience and adaptability in high-pressure environments.
- A collaborative spirit with an ability for mentoring and guiding junior team members.

You should know:
- This role offers hybrid working, with 1-2 days per week spent in either our Derby, Milton Keynes or Fleet offices.
- Our standard working hours are 9:00am – 5:30pm with a one-hour break.
- A willingness and ability to travel both within the UK and internationally is required.
