Position Overview
As a Restructuring Associate, you will play a crucial role in assisting the team in providing strategic advice and solutions to clients facing financial challenges or change. You will work closely with the firm\βs leveraged finance team to ensure early engagement and maximise the prospect of successful restructurings. This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise while working on high-profile matters in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities

Assist in transactional and advisory work, providing initial advice on structuring and implementation under the guidance of senior lawyers

Advise a wide range of clients with differing interests, ensuring tailored guidance for each scenario

Conduct comprehensive legal research to support various projects and client needs

Contribute to business development efforts, including preparing pitches, presentations, and attending events

Review finance documentation and analyse potential restructuring scenarios to protect or enhance clients\β positions
Requirements

UK-qualified associate with 2 to 5 years\β PQE

Experience in all aspects of special situations, restructuring and insolvency with a diverse client base

Working knowledge of key financing instruments, including bank loans, high yield debt and intercreditor arrangements

Experience with restructuring-related proceedings, including working with multiple jurisdictions

Well-developed drafting and negotiation skills, with good levels of responsibility
