Job Title: Civil Engineer – Highways & Drainage Location: London, UK Experience: Minimum 5 years Type: Full-time, Permanent Sponsorship: Not offered I am looking to speak with experienced Civil Engineer to join some of the best consultancies in London. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ UK-based experience, with a strong background in SuDS, FRA, drainage design, and highways design, including familiarity with relevant adoption agreements (S38, S278, etc.). Key Responsibilities: Design and delivery of surface and foul water drainage systems including SuDS in line with current UK standards and regulations. Prepare Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) to support planning applications. Highways design including road alignment, levels, pavements, and traffic assessments. Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders. Produce technical reports and design documentation. Ensure all designs comply with UK legislation, standards, and best practices. Requirements: Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience in the UK. Proficient in SuDS, FRA, and drainage design. Strong understanding of highways design and adoption agreements (e.g. S38, S278). Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Proficiency with relevant software (e.g., MicroDrainage, Civil 3D, AutoCAD). Excellent communication and project coordination skills. Please note: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
