Group Senior Risk Manager

Job Description

Miryco Consultants are working exclusively with a global insurance group, seeking a Group Senior Risk Manager to support the enterprise risk strategy, focusing on embedding and enhancing the risk management framework across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the Group Risk Director in embedding and developing the risk management framework globally.
2. Align risk reporting strategy with organizational objectives, identifying potential risks that could impact goals.
3. Conduct risk assessments, analyze current mitigation, identify emerging risks, and recommend solutions.
4. Build relationships with key stakeholders, providing risk management guidance and consultation.
5. Contribute to the implementation of the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) across the organization.
6. Address urgent risk issues and perform ad-hoc assessments as needed.
7. Collaborate with other teams, such as Internal Audit and Legal, to improve effectiveness.

Requirements:

1. Experience in a second-line risk management role within the UK financial services and insurance sector.
2. Practical implementation experience of a risk framework in a global business.
3. Proven track record of identifying gaps and leading remediation.
4. Experience with RMIS implementation projects.
5. Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
6. Competent in MS Office, including Excel (Macros, V-Lookups, Pivot tables).
7. Leadership and prior experience in 2LOD oversight and challenge activities.
8. Previous people and budget management experience is a plus.

Location: London, Hybrid

Salary: Up to £105,000
