We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Director of Structured Products at a European Corporate & Investment Bank in London.
Main Responsibilities
- Structuring credit solutions for clients, including client discussions, idea generation, documentation negotiation, and presentations.
- Managing medium-sized projects such as NPPs, resource planning, performance monitoring, and ensuring targets and product approvals are met.
- Developing innovative structures, demonstrating technical expertise and commercial judgment.
- Improving processes, systems, and procedures to meet standards and enhance efficiency.
- Implementing business plans focused on income growth and geographical expansion, considering regulatory factors.
- Enhancing personal skills and performance through continuous professional development.
- Collaborating with Sales teams to generate new trade leads and structures.
- Ensuring trades are tax and regulation compliant, with ongoing monitoring of regulatory changes.
- Presenting to senior management and participating in management or risk committees for trade approval.
- Working with Legal and Operations teams to ensure trades are legally sound and operationally feasible.
Additional Responsibilities
- Focusing on European and American franchise growth, including client meetings and internal networking.
- Origination and structuring of credit derivatives, structured repo products, collateral lending, swaps, and illiquid assets.
- Building and executing a business pipeline, collaborating with colleagues as needed.
- Managing internal approval processes for transactions.
- Understanding modelling, quantitative aspects, and XVA related to credit derivatives, FX, and interest rate products.
- Possessing detailed knowledge of relevant documentation (LMA, LSTA, ISDA, GMRA, GMLSA) and negotiating effectively with clients and legal counsel.
The Successful Candidate
This is an exciting opportunity for a Director of Structured Products in London.
Key Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in trading or structuring fixed income structured products.
- Degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Quantitative Finance) with a 2:1 or higher; postgraduate qualifications (Masters, PhD, professional) preferred.
- Experience in structuring or trading structured credit derivatives, and either structured repo or illiquid assets.
- Proven track record of delivering solutions and generating revenue from credit derivatives, repos, and illiquid assets.
- Team-oriented with collaborative skills and strong integrity.
- Maintaining all necessary FCA licenses and certifications required for the role.
