About The Role:
As our CMO you will be instrumental in growing AKT to a $100million business over the medium term where you will be obsessed about achieving a balance of brand magic with sharp commercial acumen.
Our Founders are also our CBO and CPO they have a wide and busy remit. We need to create space for them to spend more time as Founders in advocacy and activation for our brand. You will be instrumental in driving data led insights working with our AKT Brand and Marketing team, Data and Insights Team and our 3rd party providers. It is important that the whole business has a shared understanding of who our customers are and whatâs important to them – raising the businesses opportunity to advocate. As CMO, you will lead the âthink like a customerâ mantra.
Role Responsibilities:
- Customer Insight Strategy & Delivery: Drive a shared understanding of our target customer personas globally, monitoring the evolving market conditions and brand health to ensure the long term financial and reputational success of our brand (Paid Media / Campaign Management / Content Production)
- Customer Brand Proposition Strategy: Engage with our Founders to nurture our distinct and engaging customer brand (Organic Media)
- Product & Service Development Strategy: Engage with, and contribute to, the elevation of our product and services
- Collaboration: Work proactively with key stakeholders to meet the evolving needs of the business (Brand / Trading / Insights) and lead the Marketing function effectively
You will have extensive Experience:
- As a Marketing Director in a direct to consumer (D2C) eCommerce brand
- Strong knowledge and understanding of retail, eCommerce and marketing businesses
- Building a high performing team with high employer NPS
- Working in businesses that high levels of ambiguity and navigating them successfully
- Outstanding delivery in pursuit of business goals
- Growing brands and taking them into new territories
- Work in an emotionally intelligent way to manage relationships in order to get the right things delivered
- Owning and successfully delivering against a P&L
- Demonstrable superior analytical skills to track and manage KPIâs and flexing strategies to drive better outcomes (based on the data)
- How to successfully maximise output in conversion activity
- Within a personal care/performance category (not essential, preferred)
- Within a Founder inspired business (not essential, preferred)
